Some of you may have noticed that Dave and The Cousins don't have their own album yet. We are in the studio right now recording the instrumentation for our EP. We're aiming to have this done before the summer. Performing on Third St has been opening up some great connections and opportunities. We want to have at least a demo that clearly represents our style and sound. Stay tuned!

This morning, although cash tips are always appreciated, we were also tipped in the form of flowers and strawberries. What a sweet audience. The most beautiful comment today was that our music was "healing". A man who has been recovering from a motor vehicle accident stayed and listened, bearing the chilly wind this evening, smiling and grooving to our music.

Day on the street, our harmonies sweet. Come on out, we won't be too loud. Or the officers say to stop the play. We appreciate the tips, or just listen and sit. Stay a while, unless it cramps your style. Here on Third St, sure to be a treat. Word!

Farmer's Market: That's Sick!

Anyone looking to buy fresh produce or just enjoy the sunshine tomorrow morning, come out to the Santa Monica Farmer's Market.  On your stroll there or back, check out our  music too.  We'll be there 10-12 on Third Street, south of Arizona.

Upcoming EP

Upcoming is a loose word.  Our new EP is definitely coming up - hopefully sooner than later.  Today we started recording some rough mixes.  Piano and ukulele and bass and snare... oh my!  Feels great to be back in the recording studio.  Didn't take any pictures today, but just picture Christina on the drum with her sunglasses on... indoors. Yes, she's hard core rocker... or should I say, folker.

Third St Promenade: Third Week

We added some sweet new harmonies and sang one of Dave's new originals, Grandma Used to Say. Response was positive as usual, but we really felt the morning crowd.

Third Promenade: Second Week

Still maneuvering our way around Third Promenade, but loving the response from the Santa Monica crowd. It's a pleasure meeting other great artists on the streets also working from the ground up. Wondering what our genre is? We'd say Indie Folk. Here are some photos from today's day of busking. From traveling band, to day-performer, evening-performer, to spectator.

Highlight of the day? Someone recognized us on Third Promenade and asked, "Are you guys Dave and The Cousins? I've been listening to your CD this whole week." Sweet.

Busking Virgins
